Taylor Bratton is a marine social ecologist with expertise in fisheries science and climate resilience in coastal communities. Holding a master’s and undergraduate degree in marine ecology, her award-winning thesis focused on resource dependency in Belize's marine protected areas.

Professionally, Taylor established three marine protected areas with Blue Finance, an MPA co-management NGO. In the Philippines, she initiated a community-driven reef conservation project, while her research in Belize informed equitable fisheries regulations.

Taylor founded Sea Collective, a nonprofit researching the intersection between coastal communities and coral reefs. The organization aspires to build a comprehensive database on tropical fisheries, promoting effective community-based management in marine protected areas. With Sea Collective, Taylor has conducted social-ecological data collection missions in Kenya, India, and Indonesia.
